Planned lines per paid worker-hour = lines per active working hour × available-time percentage × planned use of capacity.
If the source rate already includes breaks, meetings, and normal lost time, enter 100% for worker availability so those losses are not deducted twice.
Workers needed = hourly demand ÷ planned lines per paid worker-hour, rounded up.
After the calculation
Test the answer on a small piece of real work.
Measure today’s result first. Write down what success means, what can go wrong, and how workers will continue if the new method fails.
