When Voodoo is not the answer

A good recommendation may be paper, better shelf locations, voice, mobile robots, or no equipment project.

The first goal is to solve the warehouse problem. Voodoo should only be considered when light-directed guidance fits the work.

Volume is too low to justify more than paper or barcode scanning.

Poor product placement is causing the travel problem.

Long-distance movement makes mobile robots or goods-to-person equipment more relevant.

Voice may be a better fit for hands-free case picking in a freezer.

The work is mainly full-pallet movement by forklift.

Packing, replenishment, or the dock—not picking—is limiting output.
